Mount Pleasure

Beauty. Tranquility. Inspiration. Finding love where the ocean ends - all these possibilities and more are present in the salty sea air and cool ocean breezes at Mont Plaisir.
Located on the northeastern coast of Trinidad in the Grande Riviere, Mt. Plaisir Estate Hotel offers a soothing blend of adventure, charm and rejuvenation.
Once one of the most popular trading centers where ships laden with spices like nutmeg would call, the drive to our eco-lodge offers travelers and history buffs an enchanting look at the evolution of the surrounding communities, as exemplified by their existing infrastructure, vegetation and of course, the people. For a significant portion of the journey, you will be surrounded by the sounds and smells of crashing waves, which are the signature of this coastal village.
Speaking of the coast, this rustic beachfront oasis is also renowned for having one of the highest densities of nesting leatherback turtles in the world. These majestic creatures grace our shores during the months of March to August each year and are a joy to behold.
There are 21 rooms that are available for overnight stays, the majority of which offer views of the ocean and shoreline. All rooms are also equipped with basic modern amenities including air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and en suite bathrooms.
With conservation at the heart of the efforts, HADCO Experiences has also worked alongside the various non-governmental associations in the community to ensure that the immediate areas of the property are equipped with turtle-friendly street lights (NXT Lite LED) to protect the reptiles that come ashore and encourage others who are in transit.
Whether guests are looking for a romantic getaway, a family holiday or a peaceful retreat, Mt. Plaisir Estate Hotel is the ideal beachside escape from city life. From Mt. Plaisir Estate Hotel, guests are free to explore the diversity of these natural environments on their own or with the support of friendly and knowledgeable guides.
There is much to enjoy including waterfalls, natural freshwater pools, kayaking, bird watching, hiking and forest exploration before being lulled to sleep by the rhythmic waves of the Caribbean Sea lapping the shore.
You can embrace the comfort and convenience provided by modern technology while enjoying the freedom to connect with nature in a holistic and meaningful way.
