Wingfoiling at Pigeon Point, Tobago: one of the most beautiful spots in the Caribbean

Djambo Bonaire, guest house, guets house, posada

Pigeon Point is THE iconic spot in Tobago. Located in the southwest of the island, in a bay protected by the coral reef, it's a wingfoil paradise. Consistent wind, turquoise water, and a relaxed Caribbean atmosphere: everything is there for the best conditions, whether you're a beginner or an expert.

Why choose Tobago for wingfoiling?

  • Regular and stable wind: ideal from December to July

  • Crystal-clear, warm water all year round

  • Ultra-safe spot with a gradual depth

  • Very few people in the water, even in high season

  • Beautiful beach with palm trees and a white sand bottom

  • Tobago has one of the best sun, wind, and nature combinations in the Caribbean. It's the perfect environment to progress, learn transitions, pumping, and jumps.

Sailing Conditions

  • Wind Season: December to July

  • Average Strength: 15–25 knots

  • Water Conditions: Flat with slight chop, perfect for foiling

  • Wind Direction: Consistent side-on trade winds

  • Water Temperature: 27°C on average

  • This is also one of the best spots to test new equipment or take lessons in a very accessible environment.

The Spot in Detail

  • Freestyle and freeride zone

  • As soon as you move a little further from the shore:

  • deeper water

  • small, easy-to-ride waves

  • perfect conditions for maneuvers

  • Atmosphere & services on site

At Pigeon Point, everything is simple:
  • wingfoil equipment rental

  • local sailing clubs and instructors

  • bars, beach clubs, and sun loungers for those accompanying you

  • The atmosphere is chill and very friendly, with riders from all over the world, but never overcrowded.
