Los Roques, a Polynesian lagoon lost in the Caribbean!

The Los Roques Archipelago is a little-known archipelago of the Caribbean Leeward Islands, 150km north of the coast of South America. It is made up of more than 100 coral sand islands and islets, scattered in a rainbow of colors, each more vibrant than the last, ranging from the bright white of the coral sand to the dark blue of the water in the deepest coves.
The beaches of Los Roques are among the most beautiful in the world, the sand is of a dazzling white and so fine that it can sometimes be mistaken for snow. (Cayo de Agua)
In a week of vacation in Los Roques, you can discover about twenty different beaches, each with its own particularity.
Crasqui for its shells, Noronqui for its turtles...
The dive sites are very diverse, ranging from depths of around fifteen metres to observe the reefs and their inhabitants, to impressive drop-offs at the exits of the passes...
The water temperature is 26°C in winter (December to April) and 28°C in summer (May to November).

The slide
The main fish in Los Roques are bonefish, tarpon, jack, Spanish mackerel, barracuda and some coral reef fish. It is important to note that the entire seashore is literally covered with bait fish.
This opulence of food is certainly one of the keys to the richness of the Los Roques seabed.
